چکیده
rhe need for a hospital to treat children was thus shown to be a real one, for in the annual report of the hospital for the year 1874, it was stated that "317 intern patients and 5,408 extern patients were treated at a total cost of £-650." Dr. Bricc Smyth was the atteniding physician, and Dr. Fagan (afterwards Sir John) was the attending surgeon, to both of whom the success of the hospital was to a large extent due.
